Here there is a
collection of very interesting bushes: the
flowers, the leaves and particularly the fruit
are attractive from the end of the summer to the
beginning of the winter.
However, do not try eating any of these fruit as
some of them are poisonous. |

There is even an orange
tree (Maclura pomifera) in this island. The
Osage Indians used to use the latex from these
oranges to make war paint.
Don't leave this island without admiring in
autumn the strange fructification of spindle
trees (Euonymus).
